The County Intermediate, Masters, & Juvenile Uneven Ages Cross Country Championships on Sunday 11th October 2015 in Bushmount, Firies.

Kerry and Lola Eager were the Star of the Laune AC stars at the county cross country championships in Firies on Sunday.
Kerry was among the leaders in the first lap of the 2500m u13 race, then took over the lead at the start of the second circuit and held on all the way to the finish, to capture the gold medal. In the u11 event her sister Lola also set the pace for most of the 1500m, before being just pipped at the end, but still winning the silver medal. Marina Eager and Grainne Kennedy supported her well in this race. Maedbh Brennan and Sadhbh O Sullivan ran well in the u9s. The u11 Boys team of Josh Coffey, Shane Galvin, Doncha Coffey, and Cian O Shea ran solidly but were out of the medals this time. Likewise the u13 boys, Patrick Galvin Ciaran O Sull.van Luke Diggin, Patrick Brennan and Sean Browne gave it everything but were out of luck.
Meadhbh O Sullivan had a good run to take 4th place u17.
Our ladies team, Niamh Clifford, Alison Kirwan and Gillian O Sullivan maintained their good form to win silver team medals in the intermediate championship.
Meanwhile on Saturday the club were represented by Roland Eager, who finished a close up 2nd, Anne Mangan 4th lady and Stephen Griffin in the Valentia half marathon.
We wish to thank all those who supported our recent Church gate collection in Beaufort.
